As part of its activities, the Fondation SCR ACADEMY RE organised a training course on the theme “Energy Risks and their Insurance Mechanisms”, in Nouakchott on the 2nd and 3rd of October 2019.
The course was attended by representatives from Mauritanian Insurance and Reinsurance Companies, the Director of Insurance Supervision (DCA) and the Secretary General of the Association of Professional Insurers of Mauritania (APAM).
It was hosted by Mr Olivier Carrière, who specialises in underwriting for oil and petrochemicals, and the theme was discussed around the following axes:
- The oil industry
- Insurance for the oil industry
- Underwriting for oil risks
Since its creation in January 2017, the Fondation SCR ACADEMY RE has put its expertise to good use in various Insurance and Reinsurance branches, in order to meet the requirements of the Moroccan and African Insurance Market.
